Has anyone noticed all the dead fish in the lake. I am a fisherman (woman) and I was out on the lake on May 25, 2010 for about 4 hours and there is dead fish everywhere. Any ideas on what could be causing this.

I've noticed the same thing. I live over on Owl Point and have spent the past 3 days every morning cleaning up 5-15 dead fish from my own beach. Multiple species of fish, young and young, I've wondered the same myself. My family just moved here this past week so I was unsure if this was a common occurrence...that's why I came on this board.

There is a widespread fish kill happening over at Pymatuning as well.

kathm,
I have noticed many dead fish over the Memorial Day weekend as well. Did you or anyone else notice especially on Saturday and Sunday the rust stain in the water as opposed to the muddy appearance from heavy boat traffic wakes? On the Plum Creek arm which does not have the boat wake problem, the water was reasonably clear, but noticeably stained with the same rust color. Wonder if the two might be somehow related?
