Good morning and Happy New Year 2009 to all. It is January 3rd of 2009 and the lake is near normal level. With the draw down scheduled to end on February 15th what are the thoughts of closing the valve now and consider 2008 draw down over? What must be considered for a better method of draw down and lake level control? If a situation needing immediate repair existed in our dam even a foot below normal water level we would be in for a fight keeping the lake lowered while repairs were made. This in itself is reason to pay great attention to a proposal coming forward for a siphon system. The entire community needs to be involved in this important issue. No dam no lake. No lake no community.

From the RRA website for 2009-2010 season: Lake will be lowered between October 5th and January 5th.
Plan your water front projects accordingly.
